@CenturionDan . . . I'm confused about the diff between the above and this. Can you please straighten out my muddled brain? I'm pretty sure that I saw this on the grub screen after I loaded the new desktop-base:

the one above is the boot screen for the installer media the lower one is the regular boot screen for installed systems

@CenturionDan . . . thanks for the clarification. That's what I thought it might be.

@hellekin . . . Colors need tweaking also. I did that late last night on the fly with the hue/saturation tool. Close but not-quite-right. Note that I removed the binary 'shadow'. A little too fussy IMO.
