policykit-1 requires libpam-systemd which in turn requires systemd . Since systemd is currently not available in Devuan, that makes policykit-1 impossible to install. This is a big problem for for those of us with HP printers because printer-driver-postscript-hp requires hplip (which itself provides printer drivers), which in turn requires policykit-1 .

Devuan's package needs fixed to either remove the libpam-systemd requirement or to use an equivalent that doesn't depend on systemd.
