check svg files in /usr/share/graphics/ actually are svg standard compliant
I'm unable to view the svg's as expected utils like gimp, inkscape or iceweasel.
With iceweasel I get the error: XML Parsing Error: mismatched tag. Expected: . Location: file:///home/centurion/Development/devuan/logo_installer.svg Line Number 25, Column 3: --^

svg files are a mystery to me. I reassigned to hellekin as he is the author of that file.

I used Inkscape 0.91 r13725 to create them. The error you mention matches... a space character ?! Can you try opening it with
rsvg-view-3
(or whatever viewer comes withlibrsvg
)? -
BTW @CenturionDan , if you run make, can you open the resulting PNGs?

I was using inkscape 0.48. I don't have the issue when opening them using my devuan vm, but do here on my wheezy workstation. Thus - I think it's a non-issue and am closing this bug
