This package needs updating to resolve an issue with initramfs tools

We need to update the package to resolve a breakage in the installation/update of ascii&ceres with regards to initramfs-tools not being installable
I suggest we rebase of debians git source and track between that and upstream versions. It will be easier to keep in step with debian versioning going forward which I think is desirable.
I'm prepared to do the work for this.
