To start, I would suggest eliminating libreoffice in task-xfce-desktop

In case it's useful a minimal package set for an xfce install would be:

xfce4-panel xfdesktop4 xfwm4 xfce4-settings tango-icon-theme xfwm4-themes xfce4-terminal xfce4-session xfwm4-themes xfce4-terminal xfce4-session xfce4-appfinder thunar

and probably wanted too:

xfce4-power-manager gvfs thunar-volman policykit-1 ristretto

The only issue I can remember having with this setup is missing icons for xfce4-appfinder, so another icon set might be better.
